Happy New Year 2020

Happy New Year to you in 2020! I am excited to be here writing this right now to you. The sun is rising up over the hill and beautiful rays of light illuminating the eucalyptus trees outside my balcony. What is it that you hope to do this year? What is it that inspires your soul? If you have found my website from reading one of my books then you know this is a theme in each one of them: “How to Stay Inspired even when Life is Hard.” Sometimes circumstances can feel overwhelming. Sometimes relationships end. Sometimes we feel more vulnerable to life than other times.

According to World Health Organization, “Close to 800 000 people die due to suicide every year, which is one person every 40 seconds. Suicide is a global phenomenon and occurs throughout the lifespan. Effective and evidence-based interventions can be implemented at population, sub-population and individual levels to prevent suicide and suicide attempts. There are indications that for each adult who died by suicide there may have been more than 20 others attempting suicide.”With statistics like this looming worldwide, it’s imperative that we take our focus inward and nourish our soul, love ourselves and believe that real beauty exists each day. If we don’t take measures to help bolster our inner soul, without even knowing it, an unforeseen circumstance can knock us sideways.
So if you have had a rough go recently or didn’t place your best foot forward in something that you truly cared about, FORGIVE yourself for feeling terrible about YOU. However, do take responsibility for YOUR LIFE.
“At any moment we all have the option to put on-our-big-person pants, and say goodbye to the ghosts and sad stories that keep re-entering our life.”
I can tell you from where I am sitting, as the sunshine brightens the trees outside this morning, that claiming complete responsibility for yourself feels as if you have freed yourself from an invisible cage you never knew existed.
Feeling FREE is like realizing that this life is such a gift, and yes, you must live to your fullest potential. You deserve to be YOUR BEST SELF. We deserve to unwrap each gift of goodness. We deserve to find inner peace. We deserve to find joy.
M. Scott Peck stated at the beginning of his book, “The Road Less Traveled” stated:

“Life is difficult. This is a great truth, one of the greatest truths. It is a great truth because once we truly see this truth, we transcend it. Once we truly know that life is difficult-once we truly understand and accept it-then life is no longer difficult. Because once it is accepted, the fact that life is difficult no longer matters,” we can accept there is a freedom that comes from comprehending this truth, then rising above it.
Happy New Year to you. Thank you for stopping by my website. I will be writing about self-care, soul love, rewriting & undoing stories that no longer define us here, plus just sharing little tidbits about my own life, like the sunshine, outside as I write this. I am so excited to cultivate inner happiness, connect with you here and continue to love fearlessly, plus finding the courage to say “YES” to blessings and inner joy.

“Learn to enjoy every minute of your life. Be happy now. Don’t wait for something outside of yourself to make you happy in the future. Think how really precious is the time you have to spend, whether it’s at work or with your family. Every minute should be enjoyed and savored.”
Wishing you a safe, joyous and prosperous New Year.
Sending Love,
